Eva Popper, MS, CMP, CSCS, ART

Eva grew up in San Francisco, CA where she developed a love for the game of soccer. She played Division I soccer at Pepperdine University while obtaining a degree in Sports Medicine. She went on to Ball State University and received a Masters of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Biomechanics. In addition she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

After completing graduate school she spent 5 years as the Head Strength Coach for a majority of the women’s athletic teams at Santa Clara University. She also worked with many youth soccer clubs around the Bay Area, providing injury prevention training and designing speed and agility programs. Along the way she developed an interest in clinical massage therapy as a means to prevent injury, enhance recovery, and maintain the intense training regimens needed to compete at a high level.

She received her Massage Practitioner Certification in 2007 and has been working at SMI ever since. Eva is passionate about providing her clients with the knowledge and tools to help them maintain the healthy, active lifestyles they desire.
