Melanie is a licensed acupuncturist with a special interest in sports medicine. She completed a Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary (Canada) and a Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Five Branches University, in Santa Cruz, CA. She believes strongly in a holistic approach, encourages healthy, sustainable lifestyle habits and addresses contemporary issues by blending ancient traditions with modern knowledge.

Melanie embraces an active lifestyle and loves the outdoors. Every winter, she helps injured skiers and riders as a member of the Heavenly Ski Patrol. Besides skiing, Melanie has been a long distance runner for more than 25 years.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Melanie now enjoys her coastal living in Santa Cruz, CA. She recently became a mother, and now devotes much of her time to her tribe, but you can still find her playing violin with local bands or getting dirty tending to her garden and bees.
