Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of Medicine on Earth. Originating in China it has been practiced for thousands of years and is one of the core disciplines of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is based on the premise that bodily functions are regulated by the flow of energy known as qi (chi). Qi can often times become blocked, disrupted or develop an imbalance which can then lead to dysfunction. By inserting needles into specific acupuncture points the normal flow of qi can be restored.
